Mushroom Compost

BGS's Mushroom Compost is sourced direct from a local mushroom farm. As mushroom compost ages it becomes less viable for mushroom crops but retains an enormous amount of nutrients and trace elements that are a huge benefit for gardens - most vegies love it!
Mushroom compost consists of composted straw and other organics and a variety of composted manures and gypsum. It is excellent for water retention when mixed evenly through your existing soil, adding structure and plenty of decomposing plant matter for earth worms to feast on. Try adding a layer about 100mm thick across your garden bed (or in consecutive trenches) and digging it well into the top 300mm of soil until thoroughly mixed.
